Spiritually Ambidextrous
What happens when life stops clapping for you?
We are all spiritual warriors when the coffee is hot, people are complimenting us and everything is going our way. The real practice starts when somebody criticizes you, the plan falls apart or life decides to act a damn fool.
I learned some of this early. As a kid I loved drawing, until criticism could make something I enjoyed suddenly feel different. That stayed with me. A compliment can lift us and one negative word can knock us sideways if we hand both of them too much power.
Spiritually Ambidextrous is my way of describing the ability to function with both hands of life—the light and the dark. Inside are 15 real-world balance resets plus a Two-Hand Reality Check for noticing what throws you off and what brings you back.
You do not need to become emotionless. You need to become harder to emotionally knock over.
Enjoy the sunshine without depending on it. Walk through the darkness without forgetting who you are. A compliment is a compliment. A negative word does not get to become your identity.
